| In an effort to escape his past, Casey Mack, a world traveled archaeologist and restless wanderer, finds himself in the quiet town of Bellwether Springs, Texas. Instead of quiet anonymity, he finds himself embroiled in the middle of a battle between a giant corporation and a small, passionate group of Native Americans and private citizens who fight to preserve an ancient site of unparalleled importance. The economic needs and greed of the desperate community rise in direct conflict with the preservation of the town's historical heritage. A compromise must be reached before one of the most important finds in history, portending a major cosmic event, is lost forever.
